Is your Shopify store's Meta tracking still alive?
Paste your storefront URL below to see what Meta can still see. Since August 26, 2026 Shopify runs every non-Plus checkout on Checkout Extensibility, where scripts pasted into Additional Scripts no longer execute — the most common way Shopify stores lose Purchase events without noticing.

Checkout scripts are gone for non-Plus stores
Pixel or GTM code pasted into checkout Additional Scripts stopped firing on Aug 26, 2026. The storefront half of your Pixel keeps working, which is exactly why the loss is easy to miss — PageView and ViewContent look fine while Purchase quietly flatlines.
The Web Pixels sandbox can't call Meta's server API
Custom Pixels now run in a sandboxed worker. They can fire the browser Pixel, but they cannot make direct Conversions API calls. Server-side Purchase has to come from outside the sandbox — that is what Caply's servers do.
Watch for double-counting with the native app
If the Facebook & Instagram app already sends CAPI for your Pixel, adding a second sender without a shared event_id inflates Purchases and mis-trains the algorithm. Caply deduplicates by event_id; the scanner flags when another server-side helper is present.
Shopify tracking questions
- Did Shopify really remove checkout tracking scripts?
- Yes — on August 26, 2026 Shopify auto-upgraded all non-Plus stores to Checkout Extensibility. Additional Scripts and script tags on checkout, thank-you, and order status pages no longer run.
- Can this scanner see my Shopify checkout?
- No. Checkout lives behind the session at /checkouts/*, which no public scanner can read. We scan the storefront and infer risk; the definitive check is Purchase volume in Meta Events Manager.
- How does Caply send Purchase for Shopify?
- The snippet covers storefront events, and Purchase is sent from Caply's servers with hashed email and phone from the order, deduplicated against any browser hit by a shared event_id.
